" The 1st one coat of paint was Tamiya Olive Drab (XF62), then I applied at least 2 coats of highl-lighting with XF62 plus some drops of Yellow Green (XF4).

And then, after left that first stage to dry at least 24 hours, it comes the winter cammo: Tamiya white XF2. Use a quite fine brush to apply the weathering. This is get with "alcohol à brûler" or alcool (96º), and let it to run over the vehicle surfaces, trying to apply the worn and wear on the most commonly used places.

I remit you to "Steel Masters" hors-serie nº 9, "La Bataille des Ardennes", Tome II, and specifically to the excellent article written by Frédéric Astier devoted to a couple of reconn US jeeps during that battle.
The German poncho cames from the Tamiya accesories range set. And the wheels with chains are from The Tank Workshop (in resin), supplied by fellow modeller Michael Karnowka.

Photos were taken by my friend J.F. Erice and J.A. Azorín, the editor of Spanish modelling magazine "Xtreme Modelling" ( http://www.xtrememodelling.com ) in which I´m contributing now as illustrator. "
